Oregon Passes Smoking Ban, but won't take effect till 2009

By then I'll be too old to even go out to bars. Fuck, let's get this thing moving.

I happy that for once an article about banning smoking (and even the comments so far!)don't take a holier-than-thou attitude about smoking. In principle, I'm against telling businesses what legal activities can or cannot occur on their own properties. However, even as a smoker, I don't mind going outside and it's great to not smell like smoke after a bar trip. If you're a "the end justifies the means" kind of person, then this is a good law.
