Portland is Beervana?

From now on, when ready to drink beer, I will proclaim, "Blitz me!"

(Looks like a sweet Gentleman's Roundtable happening in one of those spots too!)

It's a Small World Dept.:

What the Sizzler doesn't mention, is that about 5 years ago we shared a Thanksgiving dinner with Dennis Nyback, film historian. My girlfriend and I were hosting a small Thanksgiving dinner with the Sizzler and his lovely bride-to-be. We lived around the Corner from the Clinton St. Theater which, at that time, was curated by Dennis. My ex was really into his film retrospectives and we'd go see them from time to time.

Anyway, we were hanging out on the porch waiting for the bird to cook when Dennis and a pal walked by. The ex abruptly invited him in for dinner, it was sort of like having a celebrity over, I guess. Anyway, he was a good guest and storyteller, as you can probably tell from that clip. His friend was morose, having just been broken up with. As payment for dinner, I forced them to watch 20 Questioned, the film made by Scout Radio and Pete Best. Somehow it never made it to the Clinton St. Theater. Maybe one day there will be a "Portland's reaction to 9/11" film series and we'll all be heroes...

I thought I heard one of the Heidleberg guys talking about shooting jizz off the ceiling and lighting a house on fire...
