I want schoolkids at Hogwarts screaming your name

Surreal moment as Daniel Radcliffe mets the boys and girl of Art Brut. Thanks, Pitchfork. I stole the title from you, too. It's ok, right? I'm still a little weak from yesterday....

I'm still trying to figure out how any of us are going to be able to read the last book of the series without getting spoiled, i.e., finding our which "major characters" get killed. With all the pranskters and just plain dicks on the web, people are already doing their best to give it away. I'm no huge Harry Potter fan, but I have finally read all the books and would like to read this one without knowing the climactic ending beforehand. I may have to actually buy one, rather than rely on the library or steal from my nieces and nephews.

The library's got, like, 1,500 on hold or something so you'd be looking at the next Presidential administration before you saw a copy. I've picked up the last couple of Potter books at Costco - they were both less than $20 each.

I blindly clicked on my Amazon email on January for the pre-sale sale. Should be arriving in my mail any time soon. I've come this far I can't stop now.

Dude - My old hometown, Hudson, Ohio, had a freakin' Harry Potter festival. We stumbled into the middle of it on Friday. I hate to admit it, but it was kinda cute. How can you get upset about your preppie hometown filled with a ton of teenage girls dressed up like girl wizards? Regardless, it got the town a ton of press, including this:

UPDATE: My book was supposed to have been delivered yesterday morning, and we arrived home from our trip last night. No book. Some punk in our neighborhood is snorting some illegal HP. I am not pleased.

The nieces and nephews are not done with theirs yet, but your big sis finished at 2 am. I then had to reread the last 90 pages this morning because I was so aufgeregt.
